Miss Rushworth’s art challenge

This artwork is a photograph which hangs in my living room. It’s a photo I took on 35mm film on the SLR camera I had for my 21st birthday.

It is taken on Guernsey. It was developed, printed, mounted and framed as part of a DT project at what was then Brayton High School.

I call this picture ‘See,  what a morning!’ Based on the modern hymn which includes the lyrics; See, what a morning, gloriously bright, with the dawning of hope in Jerusalum.

Every time I look at this picture it reminds me that every sunrise stirs fresh hope for the new day ahead and every sunset, a time to reflect and rest, with an air of expectancy knowing a new dawn will follow.
